President's Welcome

Back to PWI Magazine - Q4 2014

Dear PWI members and readers,

As you may all know, 2015 is the year of changes for PWI. Our new volunteer's team is nicely settling. Alessandra (secretary-general) and I are in our last semester for our current positions on the board. Long promised, a new website is cooking...

All those internal changes did influence this year PWI's workshop series' theme: Shoot for the stars!  Be the best version of yourself to advance in your career,

To start, we learned how to define our goals and how to make them happen thanks to Gerry Murray.

In order to avoid choosing the wrong path and being led by overwhelming situations, we learned with Agnes Kaszas how to listen to our inner voice to make better choices.

Stay tuned for more interesting events like "first impressions count", "from bricks to air"... at www.pwi.be/events.

Note in your agenda also the special event for new members where we will be presenting the different programs offered by PWI, It may be a good opportunity for everyone to reconnect and share their experiences with our newbies.

If you have any suggestions, remarks or are willing to give us a hand, don’t hesitate to contact us at events@pwi.be

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you all about the elections for the new board members positions: president and secretary-general. The selection process will be started soon by our advisory board. You can already contact Corina Ciechanow at technology@pwi.be if you are interested and want to know more about the process.

Positions in the executive team are also available, please contact office@pwi.be if you are ready to contribute even a couple of hours per week.

Don't forget the next mentoring wave that will start later this year on May 26th.

Time now to discover our brand new “PWI Magazine – Q4 2014” on the web site or as a PDF for those of you that print or want to read it offline: 2014-Q4_PWI Magazine.pdf

We hope you will be inspired by this issue. It is full of great interviews of very inspiring people. If you’d like to comment on it or contribute to the next issue, please get in touch by emailing Alessandra Zocca at  editor@pwi.be

Enjoy the reading!
Hope to see you at one of our events.
